isthisphish.help processes forwarded emails so it can check them for phishing signals and send a readable explanation back. The service is designed to keep processing focused on analysis, response delivery, reliability and abuse prevention.
What information is processed
When you forward an email to check@isthisphish.help, the service may process:
- Email content
- Sender information and message headers
- Links, attachments and technical metadata contained within the email
- Your email address so the analysis result can be returned
This information is processed for phishing analysis, response generation, service reliability and abuse prevention.
What is stored
The service is designed to minimise long-term data storage.
Limited operational data, analysis results and technical logs may be temporarily retained for troubleshooting, security monitoring and service improvement.
Raw email content is not intentionally retained longer than reasonably necessary for processing and operational requirements.
Third-party providers
Analysis responses are delivered using Resend.
As part of email delivery, message content and metadata may be temporarily processed or retained by Resend in accordance with their infrastructure, logging, security and compliance policies.
Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect processed information, including restricted server access and encrypted transport where supported.
